Waking UP in Washington, DC

I spent the summer in the Bay Area working on a mural project, painting and gold leafing a wall that spans close to the length of a football field. After this tedious and fun work, sharing life with dear friends and companions, I actually feel more awake, more ready to move on and move forward. This is significant because I have felt like the dead of winter this past year after finishing my PhD and a major sculpture project in 2016. Both projects took about 9 years to complete, beginning together in September 2007 and ending together in late April 2016. In many ways, this intense period of creative output opened up new avenues for growth. I look forward to sharing some of my discoveries on this forum in the coming months.
